Nigerian singer, Joseph Akinwale Akinfenwa-Donus, popularly known as Joeboy, has responded to those criticizing his music.

Joeboy has been under heavy criticism on social media, with some of his critics describing his music as โ€œmid.โ€

Addressing the criticisms in a recent episode of the โ€˜Backstage Banterโ€™ podcast, Joeboy insisted that there is nothing โ€œmidโ€ about him.

He argued that most of his critics are just unhappy with their lives, hence the negative criticisms.โ€œT

here is nothing โ€˜midโ€™ about my existence. The fact that I have been able to get so far at such a young age in my career and still have my head on my shoulders is not โ€˜midโ€™ in any way.

โ€œI also feel like the people criticizing me are generally not happy with life.

Because if youโ€™re genuinely happy with your life, you would not pick up your phone and start attacking somebody. What exactly is โ€˜midโ€™? I think it was just a word that got too popular, and people just started using it,โ€ he said.
